The mission of Southeastern's Social Work Program is to educationally prepare competent and effective generalist social work professionals for entry-level practice. Southeastern's Social Work program follows a generalist practice model, providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to work with clients with a variety of social problems on multiple levels. In addition to understanding global and international ramifications of contemporary social and political realities, students are trained to work effectively with diverse individuals, groups, families, organizations and small communities in rural areas.
