Prepare for Success Seminars

FRESHMAN EVENT; AUG 12 - 14 & 19 - 20

The Prepare for Success Seminars are designed to equip you, as a new freshman Southeastern student, with the tools and resources you need to have a successful first year. At these seminars, you will meet fellow students and Southeastern staff, learn to navigate campus, get the opportunity to meet college administrators, receive a commemorative "Class of 2023 T-shirt" and enter a chance to win a prize!

Move In Mane-ia

9:00 AM - 2:30 PM; STUDENT UNION BALLROOM

Students are greeted by the campus community, meet their Resident Assistant, receive their keys, and move into their new home! Make sure your account is up to date and paid before your arrive to retrieve a golden ticket!

4:00 - 6:00 PM; MANE DISH, STUDENT UNION 2ND FLOOR

The Hawaiian word often used when greeting or parting from someone is ‘Aloha’.  At this event, parents, guardians, and students can enjoy a delicious dinner in the Mane Dish restaurant before saying their goodbyes as family and friends return home and students begin their life on campus as a Southeastern Lion!

Parents and students can take ‘Aloha’ pics in our photo booth to remember this special day!

After a long day of moving in, come get to know other residents with an evening of fun and games. Finish the night with Grocery Bingo to stock your room with snacks!

Are you all moved into University Housing and realized you forget a few essential items? Ride the Southeastern Lion Traxx Shuttles to the Hammond Square Mall. Pickup will take place by the Housing Office at Pride Hall starting at 10:00 am.Oops I Forgot

There will be a student organization browse, Greek showcase & a food truck rally where students can use their earned truck bucks or purchase food with cash.

Part-time Job Fair

Each year over 40 employers set up in the Student Union to recruit for our Fall Part-Time Job Fair. We encourage any student interested in a part-time job or internship to stop by and network with employers between classes.
